ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a HYBRID position available Space Force MUOS Engineering Risk Manager $72.00-$74.00 per hour Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to support the Space Force Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) program. In this role, you will lead risk management efforts to ensure the successful execution and delivery of this critical defense project. Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive risk management plan for the MUOS program

Identify and assess program risks related to scope, schedule, cost, and quality

Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans

Maintain and update the risk register; conduct regular risk reviews and assessments

Present risk status and updates to senior leadership and stakeholders

Lead risk workshops to foster a proactive risk and opportunity management culture

Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Provide training and guidance on risk management tools and best practices Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Science, or Mathematics

Minimum 5 years of experience in risk and project management

Proficient with risk management tools and software

Strong communication and analytical skills

Job Requirements

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics

Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, project management, and communication.

Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management tools and software

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

Master's Degree

Agile experience

Experience with ROMPro

PMP, RMP, or other relevant certifications

Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate experienced technical staff

High level of proficiency in risk management

Experience with government contracts and defense industry standards

Knowledge of the MUOS program and its objectives

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
