Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
Retail - Full Time
Job Summary:
The Pharmacist in Charge reports to the DOO. And under general direction, ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations for a single pharmacy; dispenses prescribed medications; may provide functional supervision of professional, paraprofessional, and support staff; and performs related duties as required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Ensure all prescriptions are input, filled and dispensed accurately, timely and within budget
• Responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to ensure operation runs smoothly within budget
• Develop supervisory staff, provide input and directions as needed
• Identify and evaluate technology which has potential to improve efficiency in operations
• Oversee workflow; identify problem areas and implement process improvements
• Contribute to production by working as a pharmacist as required
• Liaison with President to resolve conflicting priorities (budget vs. level of service, etc.)
• Work with DOO/customer service to resolve all service issues in a timely manner to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
• Work with DOO/customer service to ensure that new business is on boarded smoothly and efficiently
• Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
• Creates a great consumer and clinic partner experience and continually builds solid relationships with both groups to proactively meet their needs.
• Ensures operations of the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Responsible for financial profitability and identifies opportunities to drive growth in the pharmacy
• Motivates, develops and coaches all pharmacy staff to ensure they are meeting their potential and delivering exceptional service.
• Creates an engaging team environment which promotes compassion and models our core values and culture amongst the team.
• Proactively promotes opportunities and recruiting top talent at our pharmacies.
• Reviews key performance indicators with pharmacy staff and identifies trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Conducts workforce planning and business planning to have operational excellence at the site.
• Builds solid relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to ensure we are meeting all needs and promote the pharmacy business.
• Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
• Participate in the Company's Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
Physical Requirements:

• The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
• The employee is required to use hands to operate vehicles and office equipment.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ability to organize and plan the activities of subordinates, and to delegate appropriately.
• Pharmacy Degree and State Licensure.
• Compounding experience.
• Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Two plus years of experience
• Leadership experience including interviewing and training skills
