CSCI Consulting is looking for askilled Configuration Specialist to support the configuration, release management, and lifecycle maintenance of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems within a federal environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate system setup, maintaining configuration baselines, and enabling audit traceability for Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 and related components.
The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Oracle ERP environments, strong technical documentation skills, and familiarity with change management processes and tools within Agile and ITIL-based frameworks. Responsibilities
Manage and maintain configuration settings within Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2, ensuring alignment with program and security requirements
Support release planning, patch deployments, and system upgrades, including coordination with change management and testing teams
Document and maintain configuration baselines, interface control documentation, and rollback procedures
Provide technical input to support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and Change Advisory Boards (CABs)
Monitor system performance and implement tuning recommendations as needed
Support compliance and audit readiness through traceable and well-documented configuration practices
Assist in the planning and execution of backup and recovery procedures
Collaborate with Agile and DevSecOps teams to ensure configuration changes are deployed in alignment with approved plans
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
4-6 years of experience in ERP configuration or system administration
Hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 (required)
Familiarity with configuration management tools and best practices
Experience supporting system patching, upgrades, and release planning
Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills
Active DoD Secret clearance
Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional presence
Preferred Skills
Experience developing and managing configuration baselines, rollback strategies, and ensuring audit traceability
Familiarity with ITIL v4, SAFe Agile, or DoD systems engineering processes
Experience using Oracle configuration tools and managing patch deployments and interface controls
Working knowledge of system performance tuning and backup/recovery procedures
Prior experience supporting CCBs or CABs in a federal or defense setting
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
Past experience working with a federal agency
Department of Defense experience is a plus!
