Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Under direction, does rough, finished and general carpentry work; performs related work, including but not limited to:

Rough framing and finish carpentry utilizing a variety of materials and tools

Install wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work, ceilings.

Installs, repairs, and replaces flooring, partitions, window frames and sashes, door frames and doors, and other related components of buildings and structures.

Installs, repairs and replaces boardwalks, fences and screens.

Drywall installation and taping

Installing cabinets, shelving, drywall and insulation

Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures.

Perform tasks requiring repeated heavy lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, stooping and squatting.

Coordinate materials and support from other departments

Routinely utilize independent judgment and discretion to identify potential issues and solve problems.

Proactively identify any unsafe conditions, hazards, or Code violations and communicate them effectively.

Job Skills & Qualifications

Required:

Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks

Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and standing for numerous hours

Previous experience working on construction sites

Knowledge of basic power tools

Understanding of and willingness to abide by all safety protocols

Ability to pass a drug/background check

Valid driver’s license

High School Education or equivalent

Preferred:

OSHA 10 or 30 certification

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design drawings, specification & diagrams a plus.Company Description
