Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Teradata Developer to join our data engineering and analytics team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex SQL queries, ETL processes, and data integration workflows using Teradata.
This role involves working closely with business analysts, data architects, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable Teradata SQL queries, stored procedures, and macros.
Work with ETL tools to extract, transform, and load large volumes of data into Teradata data warehouses.
Optimize performance of complex queries and troubleshoot slow-running SQL scripts.
Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements.
Develop and maintain data integration workflows and jobs using tools like Informatica, DataStage, Talend, or Teradata BTEQ.
Implement data quality and validation checks to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and practices.
Monitor data loads and ensure timely availability of data for reporting and analytics. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with Teradata SQL, BTEQ scripts, and utilities like FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPump, and FastExport.
Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, tuning performance, and analyzing explain plans.
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, Ab Initio, or similar.
Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modeling.
Familiarity with Unix/Linux for scripting and automation.
Experience working in large-scale enterprise data environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
