Optometrist

With the partnership and support of FYidoctors, a leading eye care practice in the South Bay Area is seeking a Part-time Floating/Fill-in Optometrist to join our team. FYidoctors is an exciting entrepreneurial company that started as a small group of 30 optometrists and has since grown to more than 4,000 employees with more than 400 locations across Canada and the U.S. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to float between clinics, covering for multiple doctors throughout the South Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

Cover vacations for multiple doctors in the South Bay Area

Conduct comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments

Prescribe treatment to maintain, improve, and correct vision and manage other ocular disorders including dry eye and myopia management

Effectively make recommendations and communicate to dispensary staff

Provide a complete clinical record of all procedures, findings, prescriptions, recommendations, and patient counselling

Practice within a fully equipped Optometry exam lane, including Optomap Qualifications:

Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution

Current California Optometry license

Open to retired Optometrist's

Ability to work independently with flexibility

Proficiency in electronic health records systems Schedule:

Part-time floating schedule; specific days negotiable

14 or more patients per day; 30 min exams

Up to five days per week; Mon-Sat Compensation:

$500+/day
