Job Description:
The Receiving Specialist at SAFECOR HEALTH plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt of goods and materials. This position is responsible for verifying incoming shipments, maintaining inventory records, and facilitating the smooth flow of products into the organization’s supply chain. The Receiving Specialist contributes to the overall success of the company by supporting operational excellence and helping to maintain high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality, verifying quantities and condition of goods.
Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or issues related to shipments.
Maintain accurate inventory records, updating databases and tracking systems to reflect current stock levels.
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and efficient storage and distribution of received goods.
Prepare and manage documentation related to receiving activities, including packing lists, invoices, and reports.
Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to monitor inventory accuracy and integrity.
Assist in developing and implementing procedures to improve receiving processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during all receiving operations.
Provide support and training to new team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2 years of prior experience in receiving, warehousing, or inventory control preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Proficiency with inventory systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, warehouse software).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate standard warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts – if applicable).
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
