Description

The role of Distribution Manager is pivotal for ensuring efficient operations within Creswell Richardson’s distribution channels. They are responsible for overseeing the movement of goods from suppliers to customers, ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. This role involves a significant amount of strategic planning, oversight, and coordination, making it essential for maintaining supply chain fluidity and satisfying customer demands.

The position reports directly to the Director of Operations. This is an exempt position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Planning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service in the distribution center.

Directing, optimizing, and coordinating full order cycle.

Liaising and negotiating with logistic companies.

Keeping track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency.

Arranging warehouse, plan routes, and process shipments.

Resolving any arising problems or complaints related to distribution.

Supervising, coaching, and training warehouse workforce.

Meeting cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets.

Maintaining metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Computer use competency including Outlook, Microsoft products, Excel experience a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and driven.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years Distribution Management experience
