Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dedicated and growing healthcare team in Fenton and St. Peters. The provider will be responsible for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education for patients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced clinical expertise, critical thinking, and collaborative skills, practicing in accordance with all state and federal regulations, scope of practice guidelines, and institutional policies. Full time, Part Time and New Graduates welcome to apply. No weekends, holidays or call.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice & Patient Management:
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health histories.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., lab work, X-rays).
Develop and implement patient management plans, including prescribing medications and other therapies within the scope of practice and Missouri state law.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Provide patient and family education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and management of acute/chronic conditions.
Perform procedures relevant to the specialty and setting
Make appropriate referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate effectively with physicians, other nurse practitioners, nurses, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and their families.
Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough electronic health records (EHR) and other required documentation.
Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Professional Development & Compliance:
Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices, clinical guidelines, and advancements in pain management care.
Adhere to all relevant state and federal laws, regulations, and professional standards of care.
Maintain active licensure and national certification.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
May contribute to the education and mentorship of nursing students or other healthcare professionals.
Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Bachelor’s degree. Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification
Licensure & Certification:
Current, active, and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in the State of Missouri with prescriptive authority.
Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant
Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration (or eligibility to obtain).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required depending on the specialty and patient population.
