Position: Local Outreach Coordinator

Hours: 20hrs/week

Classification: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Local Outreach Coordinator works in close partnership with the Outreach Pastor to implement and sustain all outreach activities of Westside Church. This role includes leadership of outreach events and volunteer teams, coordination with Westside departments, and collaboration with nonprofit and ministry partners both locally and internationally. This position supports the mission of Westside through engagement in evangelism and acts of service.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required Qualifications & Skills:

- Previous administrative experience involving computer proficiency

- Project Management experience with event execution responsibilities

- Demonstrated experience leading and caring for volunteers

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

- Familiarity with Planning Center, Misrosoft 365, and/or Google Docs

- Experience collaborating with nonprofit or community-based organizations

- Gifting in or passion for evangelism

- Prior experience on short-term mission trips

RESPONSIBILITIES & ASSOCIATED TASKS:

Outreach Coordination - 65%

- Lead the recruitment, oversight, and care of outreach volunteers

- Organize, manage, and execute all outreach events

- Develop and maintain partnerships with Community Partners and Global Ministries

- Coordinate regional and international mission opportunities

Team Participation 20%

- Attend and contribute to all Outreach Team Meetings

- Partner with team members to ensure clear and consistent communication

- Collaborate with Westside ministries to align outreach efforts across the church

Administrative - 10%

- Participate in Staff Connect, Staff Lunch, other staff-wide gatherings

- Respond to Teams, emails, and phone communications in a timely manner

- Maintain up-to-date calendar and communication database for outreach

- Keep outreach volunteer and partner contact lists current

Read/Think/Educate/Pray - 5%

- Commit time for prayer, dreaming, innovation, and strategic thinking

- Engage in reading, listening and learning to better equip yourself and others

Supervisory:

Immediate Supervisor: Outreach Pastor

Supervisory responsibilities for: Volunteers

Starting Pay Rate Range: DOE / to be discussed during interview process

Work Schedule: Monday-Wednesday, Sundays as needed
