GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position’s mainly responsible for planning, management, maintenance, repairing and purchasing of equipment to ensure equipment high efficiently running and stable production and supporting process and Product Development, Continuous Improvement efforts with regards to Overall process at BP + Cut & Sew plant.

The position further required to actively involved in the new plant set up and ensure the meet the time line.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

Be responsible for rolling out asset care management program in the plant by implementation of Preventive maintenance, Autonomous maintenance and Condition based monitoring.

Maintain repair & maintenance cost at a minimum level and achieve year on year improvement of the same.

Rollout Energy management program in the plant and keep all plant energy indexes intact.

Conduct complicated trouble shooting in equipment maintenance.

Co-ordinate company to make the planning for production related equipment.

Analysis and modification for equipment to improve productivity and quality.

Co-ordinate to build and develop continuous improvement management system.

Co-ordinate the modification and upgrade for all the equipment, research for the possibility of introduction for new equipment.

Close coordination with central Engineering team to maintain utility equipment in optimum working order.

Co-ordinate to develop equipment purchasing plan and spare part management.

Estimate the budget monthly, application for loan and invoice tracing and pushing.

Balance of account with supplier and preparation of documentation for customs declaration.

Implementation for issues from higher authority.

Good Safety and risk management awareness.

Responsible to implement & sustain requirements of PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 in the Engineering functions which support to manufacturing processes of chemical protective clothing & continually improve the processes of Engineering function as per the requirement of PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education

Bachler Degree in Engineering specialised in one of the fields mechanical, electrical, electronic or mechatronic

Lean Six Sigma or Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt certification is preferred

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

3 - 4 years working experience in a Manufacturing environment, preferably working with Textiles

Hands on experience in problem solving, root cause analysing & validation tools (FMEA, C&E matrix, Hypothesis analysis, Regression analysis etc.)

Personal Skills

Sound knowledge in basic Engineering processes

Strong written and verbal communication skills (Sinhala & English)

Ability to communicate across all levels internally/externally

Team player

Using Six Sigma/Lean tools as applicable

Desirable Job Competencies

Identifying the key process drives in equipment maintenance process

Problem solving ability

Ability to identify the plant key cost drivers in Repair & Maintenance process

Ability to identify the wastes and drive remedial projects on waste

Ability to incorporate new technologies used in other areas of the market in our factories

Project management

Familiar with AutoCAD

Compliance with EHS standards.

Maintain compliance with all internal and external EHS rules, regulations and other Risk Management requirements.

Actively use the safety calendar (or contribute to the activities prescribed in the supervisor’s/manager’s calendar) as an accountability tool to measure safety performance and to promote the development of an EHS culture.

Follow the requirements of the 5-point safety charter

Compliance with QMS system

Ensure that processes are delivering their intended outputs with complying to the ATL-QMS & responsible to implement, maintain & continuous development in relevant processes in accordance with ATL-QMS.

Taking the charge of ongoing data collection, review energy data and drive departmental energy perfor

Taking the charge of ongoing data collection, review energy data and drive departmental energy performance indicators.

Supporting to implement the energy context of analysis and be a part of the EnMS internal audit team.

Identifying, determining significant energy uses & implementing action plan to verify significant energy uses

Identify energy opportunities, conduct energy assessments & Oversee energy projects and other energy related activities.
