Position Summary

As a Hospital Cook, you'll prepare and serve nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors. From day-to-day meals to special events, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality food in a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment.

What You'll Do

Prepare and portion hot and cold foods according to recipes and dietary guidelines

Ensure food freshness, quality, and safe handling throughout all preparation

Cook for various service areas including patient meals, café service, catering, and physician lounge

Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow food safety and sanitation standards

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely, accurate meal service

What You'll Need

High school diploma or GED - Required

Minimum 2 years of hands-on cooking experience - Required

Valid Texas Food Handler Certification - Required

Strong attention to detail, time management, and a team-player attitude

Must be flexible and dependable - ability to work assigned shifts as scheduled

Pay: Starting at $17/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: Flexible shifts, including some weekends or holidays as needed
