Position Description

Vantage is looking for a detail-oriented NSD Program Director to drive the evaluation and development of both new and existing data centre campuses and markets across APAC. You will assist the Senior Director of New Site Development in overseeing the progress of investment opportunities through site identification, due diligence, and land closing stages (collectively “pre-development”) to ensure timely hand-off to in-country Delivery teams.

The NSD Program Director will be responsible for on-going Project Portfolio Review of pre- development opportunities reporting – via status reports and dashboards – on: the review progress/status of all active opportunities; checking for scope, schedule, budget, and risk deviations; alignment with strategic goals; identify and escalate projects at risk.

Constant communication with Leadership, Site Selection, Operations, Sales, Marketing and subject matter experts will be required to ensure new facilities will meet customer requirements and maintain and enhance Vantage’s product and service offering.

Essential Job Functions

· Assist Leadership with the evaluation and selection of existing data centre assets for the purpose of acquiring and developing into a Vantage Data Center property.

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely completion of all aspects of due diligence and front-end planning for new projects including: site assessment, concept fits, engineering due diligence, legal due diligence, development of power and fibre strategies, entitlement and permitting, KYC and tax, financial modelling, (etc).

· Provide thought leadership and input on projects and assignments, including budget, schedule and coordination with internal and external project stakeholders.

· Involvement in data centre community to gain valuable knowledge of best practice, new trends and industry standards.

Duties

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders to define project requirements.

· Report status of all projects in feasibility and front-end development status (risks, schedule, quality and budget) to management.

· Create and maintain project templates, tools, and documentation standards related to pre-development

· Monitor compliance with internal governance practices across projects.

· Drive scope, schedule, and budget decisions to conclusion including managing internal business case approvals, internal and external resources, project teams, contractors and vendors.

· Ensure lessons learned are held and placed in the feedback loop to drive continuous improvement

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

· This position requires an organized individual with the capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure, and to prioritize work effort, all with minimal supervision.

· Bachelor of Science, Design or business degree, in construction or real estate is preferred.

· Experience in regional markets, Malaysia, Japan, and Australia preferred.

· Experience with local planning requirements and authority groups preferred.

· Experience with negotiating utility (power and fibre) contracts preferred.

· Demonstrably strong negotiation and presentation skills.

· Demonstrated ability and experience in leading project/design teams.

· Excellent relationship building skills.

· Excellent verbal and written comprehension skills.

· Able to work under pressure.

· To be located in Singapore with experience and ability to work in other regional markets. Role requires travel and willingness to work remotely.

· Flexible, adaptable and self-directed; able to work in a variety of circumstances, eg: remotely, while travelling, across multiple time zones, cross functionally, by project, etc.
