Location San Jose, CA (Hybrid, 3x a week on-site)
Pay: 140k-145k base
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Electrical Engineer to lead and execute electrical engineering projects, particularly in the data center sector. The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing electrical systems and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for data centers
Conduct load calculations and power supply system analysis
Utilize BIM tools such as Revit and BIM 360 for electrical layout and design
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met
Develop and maintain project documentation using Bluebeam
Ensure compliance with LEED and sustainability standards
Perform high voltage system design and analysis
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on data centers
Proficient in electrical design software such as Revit, SKM, and BIM 360
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) would be a big bonus
Strong understanding of high voltage systems and power supply design
PE Cert would be a bonus but not required
LEED certification is a plus
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
