Description
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing advanced-level support for various applications including GEMS, Tyler Technologies, UBILL/Cogsdale, and Laserfiche. Supports application implementation and testing. Acts as a mediator between IT Support and the Development Team. Responsible for routine administrative tasks and documentation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Administer system security (e.g., authorization, access, read-only, passwords) for Tyler Technology, Cogsdale, and Laserfiche applications.
Provide advanced support for various line of business applications including Cogsdale, Tyler, and Cityworks for internal and external customers.
Provide Level 3 support for Tyler Technologies, Cogsdale, and Laserfiche applications before escalation to the development team.
Lead IT support personnel for application implementation.
Perform application maintenance and administration as needed.
Test new versions of Cogsdale, and Tyler Technologies applications and learn software enhancements.
Provide Level 1 end-user IT support for all software issues.
Log all support issues in the Service Desk application.
Maintain support scripts in electronic form.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent preferred.
Experience with Microsoft SQL is a plus.
Minimum of two years’ experience in IT Support on the City of Thomasville’s system.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to frequently changing priorities and tasks.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Mobility to work in typical office settings using standard office equipment.
Vision to read printed materials and computer screens.
Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone.
WORKING CONDITIONS
General office setting with occasional deadlines requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Salary Description
$20.31 to $24.71 (Based on Experience)
