Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operations of a convenience store location with a strong focus on food service. This role ensures a customer-first culture, drives sales and profitability, develops and leads a high-performing team, and maintains compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The GM sets the tone for the store by living out our Core Values of Customer Commitment, Humility, Integrity, Grit, and Teamwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead all store operations including fuel, merchandise, and food service programs.
Drive store performance by analyzing KPIs, controlling expenses, and maximizing profitability.
Ensure the delivery of an exceptional customer experience and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Recruit, train, schedule, and develop store team members to meet performance goals and promote a positive work environment.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, merchandising, and brand consistency.
Implement marketing and promotional strategies at the store level.
Maintain compliance with all company policies, food safety procedures, inventory controls, and local/state/federal regulations.
Complete daily/weekly/monthly administrative tasks including inventory counts, financial reports, and labor scheduling.
Foster a culture of accountability and teamwork.
Work Environment:
Works in a retail environment that includes food service areas, stockrooms, and outdoor fueling areas.
May be exposed to varying weather conditions during shift.
May operate kitchen equipment, fuel systems, and point-of-sale terminals.
