ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Specialist in Responsible Sourcing Advancement, you will play a key role in ensuring factories comply with VF’s standards, supporting safety and worker rights initiatives, driving environmental sustainability, and contributing to worker and community development efforts. You will collaborate with VF factories, regional offices, cross-functional teams, NGO partners, and other stakeholders to enhance responsible sourcing practices across the supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include preparing factories for audits, addressing safety and labor concerns, promoting environmental management systems, and supporting community needs assessments. This role is critical to advancing VF’s commitment to comprehensive and sustainable sourcing practices.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Factory Compliance
Support factories in meeting VF’s compliance standards, including local and international regulations
Collaborate with sourcing and compliance teams to improve audit outcomes and remediate corrective actions
Communicate new or existing requirements in Facility Guidelines and provide tools and knowledge to suppliers
Safety
Work with VF Safety Team and program providers to address safety concerns through on-site and remote visits
Coordinate third-party assessments, training, and remediation efforts
Support implementation of VF’s critical life safety program, including training and awareness initiatives
Worker Rights
Collaborate with the Worker Rights Team and external stakeholders to investigate and remediate labor issues
Identify opportunities to pilot Worker Rights programs at factories
Work with Better Work on compliance and industrial relations programs
Respond to critical concerns in countries of responsibility
Environmental Sustainability
Partner with the Environmental Sustainability Team to build Environmental Management Systems at factories
Promote participation in energy efficiency and renewable energy programs
Provide localized insights to support environmental strategy (e.g., HIGG implementation, wastewater standards)
Worker and Community Development (WCD)
Support factory participation in basic needs assessments
Help identify factories for WCD program implementation based on assessment results
Collaborate with partners to implement and monitor WCD programs, ensuring alignment with objectives

Experience in factory compliance audits and auditing processes
Excellent report writing and communication skills in English

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
6+ years of experience in Corporate Social Responsibility or Social Auditing, or equivalent combination of experience and education
Post-graduate education in labor laws, environmental engineering, safety engineering, or chemical engineering is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based tools
