Planning Manager

We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Planning Manager to lead operations in their Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) division within the water industry.

As Planning Manager, you will take full ownership of planning and coordinating day-to-day R&M activities, including leakage repairs, meter installations, and stop tap maintenance. You’ll manage a large, skilled team of 50+ field operatives, including plumbers, supervisors, and team leaders, ensuring high performance and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning and scheduling of R&M works across a regional network.

Manage and motivate a team of plumbers, team leaders, and supervisors (50+ staff).

Optimise resource allocation and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.

Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement in planning and execution.

Collaborate with senior leadership and operational teams to align plans with business goals.

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Solve operational challenges quickly and effectively, maintaining service continuity.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a Planning Manager or similar role within the water, utilities, or infrastructure sector.

Strong background in repairs and maintenance operations, ideally including leakage, metering, and stop taps.

Confident leader with experience managing large field teams in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.

Must be office-based full time- 5 days per week.
