Extension Educator - Education student field supervisor

TLED 4189/5191 & 5189/5191 (year-long; autumn and spring semesters)

Support the Program Manager for licensure program – primary (PK-5), middle childhood (4-9), integrated language arts (7-12), integrated social studies (7-12), or STEM (7-12) ; serves at the primary resource for preservice teachers within the program; responsible for multiple placement visits (approx. 4 per intern) throughout the course of a semester; completes report documentation; debriefs and conferences with teacher candidates; leads a maximum of 10 recitations with preservice teachers per semester; meets with Program Manager on a regular basis to discuss the status of each preservice teacher; grades preservice teacher assignments (some key assessments); maintains proactive communication with mentor teachers; and additional duties as assigned.

Description

50 Placement visits, observations, travel time, and report documentation

30 Grading/documentation/mentor emails

10 Recitations with preservice teacher group (10 max; 1 hour meetings)

5 Meeting with Program Manager

5 Additional duties as assigned by Program Manager

Additional Information:

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor degree. 1 year of relevant experience required.

Preferred:

2-4 years of relevant experience.
