Position Summary:
As a Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology Tech, you'll assist in performing both direct and indirect patient care during cardiac, vascular, and interventional procedures. You'll work closely with physicians to ensure safe and quality care is provided to adult and geriatric patients, all while demonstrating critical thinking and collaborating with healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians in invasive procedures, including cardiac catheterization, vascular angiograms, stenting, pacemaker implants, and other interventions.
Document patient history, including vital signs, lab results, current medications, and patient concerns.
Maintain and start IV access, oxygen administration, and perform glucometer testing.
Provide appropriate post-procedure care and discharge instructions to patients and caregivers.
Operate radiographic equipment to produce specialized angiographic and digital images (ARRT only).
Administer prescribed medications (including sedation and cardiac meds) during procedures under physician supervision.
Provide safe interventions and collaborate effectively with physicians, team members, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
Deliver patient and family education about treatments, procedures, and care instructions.
Education & Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited radiology program with emphasis on anatomy, physiology, radiation physics, and communication.
Current radiographer license from the State of Ohio Department of Health and A.R.R.T. registry as an R.T. required.
Advanced Registry from A.R.R.T. in Cardiovascular (CV), Cardiac Intervention (CI), or Vascular Intervention (VI) preferred.
CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
ACLS certification required within 1 year.
RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred.
Hours & Compensation:
Full-time position with hours from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.
On-call rotation one day a week and every 4th weekend.
Competitive salary between $60k and $90k depending on experience, plus a full benefits package.
