Responsible for designing new products and supporting the integration and improvement of existing products throughout their entire lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess design needs, develop design plans, and create detailed parts and assemblies using CAD software (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
Execute all tasks related to assigned design projects, ensuring adherence to BCC’s best design practices and processes.
Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and measure results after project completion.
Collaborate with and support project team members on various project-related tasks.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HVAC and/or automotive manufacturing environment.
Proficient in CAD or design, relevant to the discipline.
Associate degree or a Technical diploma.
Strong understanding of customer requirements and experience with quality tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP/PPAP, and Lean methodologies (Kaizen, 5S, Five Why analysis, Poka Yoke).
Familiarity with management system standards (ISO9001, ISO/TS16949).
Experience with manufacturing MRP systems.
Willingness to travel to customer locations to support product design, sales, and service activities.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, hands-on skills with basic hand tools, knowledge of automotive mechanics/operations, and experience with metalworking, joining, and cutting processes.
