Purchasing Manager – Steel Fabrication Buffalo, NY Full-time Office-based We're seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead steel operations for our fabrication projects in Buffalo, NY.

In this office-based role, you'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, monitor market trends, and ensure timely material flow to meet production schedules What You’ll Be DoingBuild and manage strong supplier relationships with steel mills, processors, and stockholdersNegotiate best pricing, terms, and delivery schedulesMonitor steel market trends and material forecasts to drive procurement strategyEnsure timely delivery of material to fabrication shop and job sitesTrack and manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and shipping schedulesCollaborate with project managers, estimators, and the shop floor to align material needs with production timelinesEnsure compliance with company standards, budget targets, and contractual requirementsTroubleshoot supply chain delays and implement proactive solutions What We’re Looking For5+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement within structural or industrial steelDeep knowledge of steel sections, plate, and mill lead timesAbility to read fabrication schedules and shop drawings (a bonus)Strong negotiation, communication, and planning skillsERP or procurement system experience preferred (e.g.
