Contract UX/UI Designer

UX/UI Contract Designer (In-Office/Remote Hybrid) Location: Belleville, MI Contract Duration: 3 months with option to extend up to 2 times (total of 9 months) Hourly Rate: $40/hour Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours per week) About the Opportunity:Seeking a skilled UX/UI Contract Designer for a hybrid in-office/remote position The ideal candidate should have:Experience in creative problem-solvingKnowledge of UX and UI principlesProficiency in Figma (or similar tool)Understanding of user testing methods (plus)Coding or 3D modeling skills (huge plus)Automotive industry experience (nice to have, not required) What We're Looking For:Talented designer with strong technical and soft skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentPassion for design and problem-solving Job Responsibilities: Next-Generation CID GUI Drawing Production (40%)Learn and use dedicated GUI design and UX toolsCollaborate with designers on GUI material creationCreate wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes for:Infotainment systems, Telematics, Cluster-meterOther input devices related to user experience CID GUI Screen Transition Diagram Production (20%)Create interactive, animated screens to test transitions and usabilityUse prototyping tools to present and iterate GUI designs with stakeholders UX Design Trend Research (20%)Explore trends in IVI and market research from a future-oriented perspectiveAnalyze data and produce reports to inform design directionCoordinate research programs and competitive intelligence gatheringProvide strategic insights based on strengths, weaknesses, and competitor analysisUnderstand and simulate how users will interact with future technology GUI Tool Skill Improvement (10%)Research new design tools and capabilitiesParticipate in training and skill-building sessions Requirements:Degree in Design or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years)Experience with collaborative tools like FigmaStrong design and problem-solving skills Work Arrangement:In-office/remote hybrid scheduleInitial 90 days fully onsiteAfter 90 days: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote (remote on Wednesdays and Fridays) Screening Process:7-year criminal background check5-panel drug screen administered by iCreatives Additional Info:This is a contract onsite position in Belleville, MIRemote work is not available during the first 90 daysA hybrid model is possible afterward This is a contract onsite position in the Belleville, MI area.
