ABOUT THE ROLE:\n\nAs the Plant Engineering Manager /Technical Manager you will be responsible for managing the engineering team and overseeing the technical operations in the Constantine facility.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:\n\n\n\tManages plant quality systems, specifications, product development, and documentation.\n\tChampions a safe and healthy workplace, particularly in Hazard Communication.\n\tLiaises with all chemical suppliers for the safe and efficient use of process and product chemistry.
\n\tCoordinates trials for new products, tracks supplier continuous improvement initiatives (including cost control efforts), and approves and tracks all chemical spending and savings.\n\tProvides engineering and technical advice to all faucets of the business\n\tParticipates in capital expenditures planning to ensure plants are properly equipped for future needs.\n\tPromotes lean activities (e.g., engagements, Kaizens, etc.) to help facilitate improvements.\n\tInvestigates solutions for equipment upgrades and identifies improvement synergies.\n\tSupports plant environmental compliance by overseeing preparation of all required reports and data submissions.\n\tProvides leadership for continuous improvement projects.\n\tDemonstrated project management experience by having successfully managed and completed a large, complex engineering project \n\tAdvanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.\n\tThis includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various products.\n\tUnderstanding of reliability tools and strategies including direct experience facilitating.\n\tFailure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis.\n\tKnowledge of business and management principles specifically as it relates to maintenance planning, resource allocation, cost analysis and budgeting, people management, and leadership guidance.\n\tExcellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups, or work teams, and to explain difficult situations.\n\tAbility to communicate technical topics to non-technical audiences.\n\tAbility to utilize and train employees of varying levels/skills on technology, processes and procedures.\n\n\n\nWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:\n\n\n\tBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Paper Science or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience in a recycled paperboard mill.\n\tDemonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.\n\tDemonstrates excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills.\n\tPossesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.\n\tExpertise in manufacturing best practices.\n\tSix Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other Operational Excellence system experience is a plus.\n\tPrior knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulations is a plus.\n\tPaper mill, Paper converting, chemical or plastics processing experience.\n\n\nWHAT WE OFFER:\n\n\n\tCompetitive Compensation\n\tRetirement Savings\n\tMedical, Dental, Disability and Life Insurance Coverage\n\tHolistic Health & Well-Being Programs\n\tHealth Savings Accounts (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for Health and Dependent Care\n\tVision and other Voluntary Benefits and Discounts\n\tPaid Time Off and Holidays\n\tPaid Parental Leave (Maternity and Paternity)\n\tEducational Assistance Program\n BUILDING INCLUSIVE WORKSPACESAt Amrize, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
