ABOUT THE ROLE\nThe Terminal Operator safely operates all equipment at the location used to load and unload rail cars, boats and/or trucks, ensuring order accuracy and expeditious processing of requests.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH\n\nTerminal Operators need the ability to communicate with Terminal Managers, customers, sales personnel, trucking firms and suppliers.\nMaintain grounds, offices, warehouse, yard, etc.\nCarry out tasks related to loading/unloading material, both bulk and bagged, waterway and road methods of transportation, as appropriate for the specific location.\nOperate and conduct general maintenance on mobile equipment and assist with general mechanical maintenance.\nDemonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Work Experience: 1-3 yearsRequired Technical Skills: Basic Knowledge about computers, Microsoft programs, and SAP preferred.Additional Requirements:\n\nHigh Mechanical aptitude and ability.\nPhysical ability to work at heights, confined-enclosed areas, and perform unloading functions.\nMust be able to complete paperwork\nCandidates with a mechanical background and welding experience are desirable\nCourteous with customers\nKnowledge of cement, the construction industry and integrated computer systems an asset\nSuccessful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
