Job Title: Program Manager

Department: Adult Workforce Development

Program: Franklin County Trades Academy

Reports to: Tonya Little AVP

Position Supervised: 2-5

Employment Class: Full-Time/Regular/Exempt

Workdays: Monday - Friday

Customary Hours: 8:30 to 5:00 (*hours can vary based on programming needs)

Position Summary:

The Program Manager will be responsible for the coordination of program activities and will assist in the identification, development and delivery of educational programs and initiatives; will ensure services meet contract, funding, accreditation requirements, and are consistent with the mission, vision and values of the Columbus Urban League (CUL).

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of program activities, ensuring alignment with CUL's mission and goals.

Participate in program design, curriculum development, and evaluation processes to enhance service delivery.

Establish measurable program goals and objectives to track effectiveness and drive impact.

Maintain compliance with funding, contract, and accreditation requirements, ensuring all services meet regulatory standards.

Manage program budgets, financial documentation, and purchasing requests, ensuring fiscal responsibility.

Serve as a primary liaison between CUL, program participants, community organizations, contractors, and funding partners.

Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, businesses, and other partners to support program sustainability and growth.

Coordinate trainings, workshops, and outreach efforts to promote program awareness and engagement.

Represent CUL at meetings, events, and collaborative initiatives that align with program objectives.

Implement and oversee program evaluation, survey distribution, and data collection to assess impact and identify areas for improvement.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of program performance metrics for internal use and external funders.

Manage and maintain database systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with funding guidelines.

Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to program staff, interns, and volunteers.

Set clear expectations, goals, and professional development opportunities for team members.

Conduct regular staff check-ins, performance evaluations, and coaching to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.

Promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation within the department.

Other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field (i.e. Human Services, social work, family resource management, communications, political science, education) required; or

Associate degree plus a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience

May substitute years of experience for education

Willingness and ability to obtain other certifications as necessary Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in program management, community development, social services, nonprofit administration, or a related field.

Proven experience in leading teams, managing budgets, and ensuring program compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.

Demonstrated ability to build partnerships, engage stakeholders, and effectively communicate program goals to diverse audiences. Experience and Skills

Required Skills and Abilities:

Communication Skills:

Ability to read and speak English proficiently. Bilingual preferred but not required.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. Technology and Compliance:

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (MS Suite, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, etc.).

Commitment to compliance and ethical standards. Time management and Organization:

Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across all tasks.

Mange workload effectively and deliver results in a timely manner. Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and see.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to low.
