Web Application Developer

U.S. Citizenship Required. This position requires a current TOP SECRET clearance. Candidate must be SAP and SCI program eligible.

The position is in-person.

Toyon is seeking an intermediate-level Web Application Developer to design, modify and maintain server applications used by government clients. This position will interact with Toyon’s engineering team and government clients in the process of taking projects from initial requirements to deployment on production systems. This position is perfect for an individual with a strong foundation in Java programming who is ready to take on greater responsibility, experience personal career growth, and contribute to the success of Toyon's projects. The candidate will participate in the full range of the development process: identification and analysis of stakeholder business requirements, creation of mockups, wireframes and prototypes, full implementation of approved software changes and in testing, debugging and deployment.

Job assignments include a range of in-office and on-site work to define and implement government-approved upgrades. In addition to software design and implementation, the candidate must participate in and develop materials for group presentations, software demonstrations, and organized training classes.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, specializing in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.

Must have at least two years' professional experience with Java (17+).

Good understanding of relational database management systems and structure query language (SQL)

Familiarity with Git, Eclipse IDE, and Apache Maven

Knowledge of CAD application software and vector graphic design software preferred

Knowledge of the Spring Boot 3.x framework helpful but not required

The annual pay range for the Web Application Developer position is $90,000 to $150,000.

The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate’s education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
