Functional Safety Hardware Engineer
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with Safety regulations and standards.
Participate in the creation / updating of project deliverables, including FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), FMEA, HARA, TSC, and FSC.
Validate and analyze Diagnostic deliverables.
Identify specific requirements.
Develop test plans considering different failure modes.
Manage project communication with stakeholders, including clients and SDO Designers.
Delegate tasks, supervise projects, and ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
Monitor technological advancements in the automotive safety domain.
Specify diagnostic approaches for distinct Powertrain components and confirm regulatory compliance.
Prepare/review certification documents for authorities.
Ensure update of all Safety deliverables at the PWT level: Safety Plan, Safety Impact, Safety Assessment, FMEA, TSC, Safety Case. Support Aftersales team to ensure maintainability of Powertrain components.
Manage project communication effectively with all stakeholders.
Develop and deliver hardware safety work products at the electronic component level (HRS, FMEDA, FTA, DFA)
Support hardware safety metric calculations (e.g., SPFM, LFM)
Use the Medini Analyze tool for safety analysis and documentation in line with ISO 26262
YOUR PROFILE:
Engineering degree in embedded systems, mechatronics, Electronic, Electric, or related fields.
Experience of > 2 years in powertrain systems design & engineering /Safety/ Diag Good knowledge of ICE & Hybrid powertrains (PHEV/MHEV) main functions Good knowledge of Power electronics (OBC), EE architecture, electrical networks (CAN -LIN, etc.)
Familiarity with key,hardware, safety work products, including:
HRS (Hardware Requirements Specification)
FMEDA (Failure Modes, Effects, and Diagnostic Analysis)
FTA (Fault Tree Analysis)
DFA (Dependent Failure Analysis
Knowledge of MATLAB Simulink (SPEC reading)
V-Model Cycle and Automotive General Knowledge / Powertrain (PWT)
Various vehicle types and associated technologies (DIESEL – GASOLINE - xEV)
Power electronics, EE Architecture, electrical networks (CAN - LIN, ...)
Understanding and interpretation of key diagnostic and safety functions (ISO26262)
Ability to manage communication and ease in exchanges with all the stakeholders
Good analytical skills
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team player
Organization and note-taking skills
Proficient in English: written, spoken, and comprehension
Proficient in French: written, spoken, and comprehension
