Description
The Columbus Crew is seeking a Manager, Event Operations, that will be responsible for managing the planning, organization, and execution of Private Events hosted at Historic Crew Stadium, Lower.com Field, and OhioHealth Performance Center.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Serves as primary contact for internal staff as well as external clients and event promoters to execute events and accomplish client and club goals.
• Develop and maintain event schedule, checklists, quality control documents.
• Be the onsite point of contact during all assigned events for internal and external clients.
• Create and compile all pre and post event related documents, including contracts, estimates, profit and loss evaluations, staffing plans, layouts, invoices and settlements.
• Conduct event meetings, walkthroughs, and planning sessions to prepare accurate event plans and estimates.
• Coordinate event logistics including set ups, vendor schedule, space usage and assure compliance while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Coordinate event communications to internal departments and external clients.
• Enforce all policies and procedures for holding events and appropriate permitting.
• Other duties assigned by Senior Manager of Event Operations.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• 1-3 years working in sports & entertainment, or other event venues
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Sport/Event Management, Business, communication or equivalent
• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Project management and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and collaboration experience.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
• Prior experience working in Stadiums, Arenas or Entertainment venues.
• Strong command of technology.
• Advanced knowledge of event logistics, planning, budgeting, and implementation
• Experience working and servicing various stakeholders including emergency personnel, labor unions, high profile artists and guests.
• Experience with event software, design software, and AutoCad software.
Work environment:
• Minimal Travel
• Flexible work schedule inclusive of nights, weekends, and holidays required.
• Bending, lifting, and repeated movements including lifting 15-20 pounds.
