Wireless Software Developer

We are searching for a highly motivated Software Developer who can work as a part of an extraordinary development team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop exciting features for Apple’s next generation products. You work will involve wireless software and protocol development around IEEE 802.15.4 and Thread Mesh technology development in the space of Home Automation. Your contributions will make a clear difference towards future Apple products.

2+ years of experience in developing network protocol stacks based on OSI model.

Preferred programming skills are C, C++, Objective C, Swift.

Experience with multi thread programming and strong knowledge of Operating Systems desired.

Experience with writing software involving user space, kernel space interaction desired.

Non-blocking, asynchronous interface coding experience.

Comfortable at developing middle-ware software in OS daemons and interaction with drivers.

Home automation experience is a plus.

Working knowledge of IOT protocols such as IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave, WiFi, LoRa or Thread Mesh is a plus.

Working experience with Open source Software is a plus.

Clear and concise communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
