EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

WORK LOCATION: Columbus, OH (Hybrid)

JOB SUMMARY: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment and onboarding process

Strategically and proactively sources passive and active candidates to build and maintain a quality talent pipeline for current and future workforce needs

Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria

Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization

Assists with job postings and management of internal ATS platforms

Reviews resumes or hiring profiles and contacts candidates to ascertain fit and interest, and refers to hiring managers as appropriate

Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials

Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details

Assists with candidate onboarding

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policiesQUALIFICATIONS

2 – 4 years’ experience in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, or Recruiting

Energy & Utility industry experience preferred

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles

Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative

Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

The pay range for this position is below. The specific starting rate will depend on the chosen candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $65,000 (entry level qualifications) to $75,000 (highly experienced).
