18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in secretarial/administrative professional field.

OR completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from accredited career school or community college.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to join our team as an administrative professional with the Division of Air Pollution Control (DAPC) at our Central Office in beautiful downtown Columbus.

In this role, you’ll provide administrative support to DAPC’s Business Operations and Support Section.

Protecting Ohioans from asbestos exposure requires excellent customer service when assisting applicants through the licensing process. You will complete technical reviews of applications and processes and issue asbestos certifications and licenses. You will also maintain listings of all licensed and certified individuals and contractors. We need someone who can efficiently assemble all supporting documents for certifications and licenses and coordinate the storage and distribution of documents.

We will need you to provide staff support using software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, division-specific applications such as Stars2, and Agency software such as Places, Notices, and Revenues.

Here’s a short set of those main tasks.

· Provide administrative support to the Business Operations and Support Section in the Division of Air Pollution Control

· Complete technical reviews of applications, processes, and issues asbestos certifications and licenses

· Maintain the current listing of all licensed and certified individuals and contractors and provides lists for posting on DAPC's website

· Assemble and process all supporting documents for certifications and licenses and coordinates storage and distribution of documents

· Provide excellent customer service to applicants by phone to assist applicants through the licensing process.
