Job Title: Automation Technician (12-hour Day & Night Shifts Available)

Position Overview:

American Nitrile is hiring Automation Technicians to ensure automated machinery operates efficiently and with minimal scrap. This role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting production machinery, supporting changeovers, and contributing to a clean, safe, and efficient work environment. Day and night shifts are available, with a rotating 12-hour schedule.

Shift Schedule:

12-hour shifts

Night shift includes 10% shift differential

Includes a 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks per shift

Overtime paid according to labor laws

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and maintain assigned automation equipment

Troubleshoot and adjust machinery to ensure smooth operation and minimal scrap

Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment

Log findings in maintenance tracking systems

Complete hourly glove counts and weigh end-of-shift scrap

Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and changeovers

Keep machines and work areas clean and organized

Communicate with Automation Supervisor and support team coordination

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation or manufacturing machinery

Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

Effective written and verbal communication

Working Conditions:

Must be able to move quickly between machines during shift

Environment is well-ventilated and well-lit but not temperature controlled

PPE required (helmets, gloves, safety goggles)

Regular safety drills and clear emergency protocols

Designated outdoor smoking areas
