Job Responsibilities
Understand information from a variety of sources, including blueprints, plans, and written specifications, in order to select proper materials and the needed amounts for a project.
Follow written plans and instructions from supervisors in order to
Build steel or iron structural pieces and components when working on a project that involves a large structure like a commercial building, a bridge, a highway, or other public works project
Ensure proper placement, balance, and alignment of structural pieces by using levels, laser tools, etc.
Transform metal pieces into functional elements that meet the guidelines of the project by cutting materials and using fabrication techniques
Access challenging work positions that are either at elevation or otherwise difficult to reach while following the proper OSHA regulations Job Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma/equivalent
Completion of welding certification or comparable experience in the field
Plasma table experience preferred (not required)
Knowledge of various types of materials and their properties
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment Benefits

Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
