Description
Title: KVCC Emergency Medical Services Program Director
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: MEA Admin (Pending Classification)
Responsibilities:
The program director is responsible for all aspects of the program, including, but not limited to:
Administration, organization, and supervision of the program
Continuous quality review and improvement of the educational program
Academic oversight, including curriculum planning and development
Orientation/training and supervision of clinical and capstone field internship preceptors
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent from an accredited institution of higher education
Documented education or experience in instructional methodology
Academic training and experience equivalent to that of a paramedic
Experience in the delivery of prehospital emergency care
Knowledge about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Standards, and evidenced-informed clinical practice
3 years of field experience in an EMS setting or equivalent
Administrative experience overseeing personnel and programs
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master’s degree
Maine EMS Licensed Paramedic
Maine EMS Licensed Instructor Coordinator or ability to obtain within 4 months
