Hall & Evans, LLC, a well-known regional defense litigation firm headquartered in Denver, CO, is seeking a Human Resources Manager. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and ten or more years of Human Resources Management experience, preferably in a law firm of comparable size.
The Human Resources Manager leads and manages the routine functions of the Human Resources Department, including administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policy and practices. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional capable of managing a varied workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the human resources department. Participates in developing department goals objectives and systems.
• Recommends and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all firm personnel.
• Provides support and guidance to HR generalist, benefits specialist, recruiter, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
• In conjunction with the COFO, annually reviews the compensation program, updates job descriptions as necessary, analyzes compensation, monitors the performance evaluation program, and revises as necessary.
• Prepare and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance; partners with the firm management as needed/required; ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
• 10+ years of Human Resources Management experience, preferably in a law firm of comparable size
• SHRM or comparable HR certification preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
• Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficient with Paylocity a plus
The hiring range for this position is $125,000 to $175,000
