Assemble and fabricate metal cabinets, enclosures, bases, and/or other components.
Perform all crane movements within the facility, including moving bases and buildings, setting equipment in buildings, and loading completed buildings on trailers.
Maintain a crane operator certification.
Coordinate with production staff to schedule and execute crane operations in alignment with production needs.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the crane to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigging and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use.
Analyze loads to ensure crane capacities and rigging are acceptable and safe for each operation.
Serve as the go-to person for all site rigging and loading questions.
Identify and resolve any issues related to crane operations promptly and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Follow established safety guidelines.
Perform additional duties as requested.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
Experience operating bridge cranes and advanced rigging.
Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
Experience operating a forklift preferred.
