Job Description

South County Sound and Video is seeking an experienced and skilled Audio and Video Technician to join our team in Charlestown, RI. This full-time, on-site role focuses on wiring, installing, configuring, and troubleshooting audio/video systems, LAN/wifi networks, and surveillance camera systems on commercial and residential construction and renovation sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio/video system installation, network setup, and surveillance camera configuration, along with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in both team and independent environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Wire, install, configure, and troubleshoot audio/video systems on commercial and residential construction sites.

Set up and maintain LAN/wifi networks in accordance with project specifications.

Install and configure surveillance camera systems, ensuring proper functionality and coverage.

Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure the timely and accurate completion of installations.

Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices during on-site installations and configurations.

Identify and resolve technical issues, communicating effectively with project managers and team members.

Maintain accurate documentation of installation processes and configurations for future reference.

Remain up-to-date on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in audio/video systems, networking, and surveillance systems.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in audio/video system installation, LAN/wifi network setup, and surveillance camera configuration on commercial and residential construction sites.

Strong knowledge of audio/video systems, network infrastructure, and surveillance camera systems.

Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to audio/video, networking, and surveillance equipment.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.

Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing project requirements.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
