Poly-America, L.P. is currently seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our procurement team. Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction and agricultural films.
Responsibilities
Purchasing Assistants at Poly-America are responsible for placement of orders for goods, services and effectively tracking orders as directed. A successful candidate will be able to implement purchasing activities across multiple categories, work to help secure favorable pricing, optimal terms and manage orders in a professional environment.
Exercise purchase orders
Ensure timely delivery and completion of requisitioned goods and services
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Qualifications
Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of staff throughout the company
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills
Experience in purchasing or sales preferred
