Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a Custodian to join our team at an adult day facility, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our clients. The Custodian will handle cleaning duties in designated areas, ensuring they are sanitized and presentable at all times.

**Responsibilities:**

1. Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, and client spaces within the adult day facility.

2. Dust, polish, and maintain cleanliness of furniture and fixtures.

3. Empty and replace trash can liners as needed.

4. Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors regularly to uphold cleanliness standards.

5. Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces to enhance the overall appearance.

6. Promptly report any maintenance issues or repairs required within the facility.

7. Adhere to health and safety regulations to provide a secure environment for clients and staff.

**Qualifications:**

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Previous experience as a Custodian or in a similar cleaning role.

3. Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies.

4. Ability to perform basic maintenance tasks as needed.

5. Physical dexterity to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and carry out cleaning duties effectively.

6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to thorough work.

7. Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

1. Certification in custodial or janitorial services.

2. Previous experience in a commercial or institutional cleaning setting, especially within a healthcare or adult care facility.
