Title: Electrical Engineering Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager with an FPGA/Digital Design background to lead the development of secure communication products. The candidate will manage and lead a team of embedded FPGA engineers, developing FPGA firmware for wireless communication systems and products. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in FPGA/Firmware development and demonstrated leadership in technical teams and projects. Responsibilities include managing resources, schedules, and budgets for FPGA development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and verify FPGA solutions for product development. The candidate will also oversee the career development of direct reports.
Essential Functions:
Lead a team of FPGA engineers, including setting goals, managing timecards, and overseeing development plans and training.
Drive the team's work to completion, ensuring delivery and performance metrics are met.
Maintain and improve FPGA development processes.
Create cost estimates and schedules for FPGA development projects.
Manage the budget and schedule for assigned projects.
Supervise team members and support their career development. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience in developing and verifying FPGA/ASIC-based embedded system solutions. Alternatively, a graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years of related experience or 13 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with VHDL/Verilog coding for synthesis.
Experience in FPGA/ASIC verification using SystemVerilog.
Familiarity with UVM/OVM FPGA/ASIC verification methodology.
Experience in developing cryptographic security solutions for communication products.
Knowledge of development and certification of secure products.
Proven leadership and management skills in embedded system and FPGA/ASIC design projects.
Strong technical writing skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Ability to work efficiently with remote teams and collaborators. Additional Requirements:
