What to Expect As an Autonomy sensor software engineer, you will be a key contributor to the system software that manages sensors for the most advanced and widely deployed AI Platforms for Autopilot and our Humanoid Robot. You will interact with members from the hardware and software teams in developing and deploying software at scale. You will work on the current and future generations of Autopilot sensors and platforms.
What You'll Do
Work on integrating sensors like GPS and IMU into the Autonomy software stack
Develop and maintain various Linux sensor device drivers
Develop and bring-up the system software stack that runs on the Autopilot platform and interacts with various sensors in the car
Develop telemetry tools in tracking the performance and functionality of the Autopilot sensor hardware and software
Define the hardware and software interactions for our next generation sensors for fully autonomous car platform
Interact with the hardware and validation teams in bringing the next generation sensor hardware and software to mass production
Write well-structured, testable, efficient, and maintainable code
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
What You'll Bring
Engineering Degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
Strong C and C++ skills required
Experience working on sensors would be preferred
Linux Kernel/Driver/RTOS experience preferred
Experience with embedded Linux programming preferred
Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills
