Mid Ruby Developer

Razor is looking for several Mid Level Ruby Developers to work on a 100% remote project with our government contracted client at the Department of Veteran's Affairs. Key skills for this team are Ruby and React experience. A quality Ruby Developer candidate must have experience in analyzing customer needs and developing overall concept and design objectives. The developer must be able to create software in a variety of programming and for a variety of IT software applications. You'll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution you're developing considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements.

Bachelor's Degree

Green Card, GC EAD or US Citizen Work Authorization

Fingerprinting and ability to pass a Public Trust Clearance will be required Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of professional experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies

-5+ years of professional experience with Software Development and Implementation

-5+ years of professional experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs.

-5+ year(s) of professional experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and object-oriented software design, REST, SOAP Web Services, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, Spring, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL), WebLogic, JPA/Hibernate and Java EE

-Software development skills, including design, development, testing, deployment and support

- Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance

Additional Desired Qualifications:

-Experience with rule and BPM engines

-Experience with REST API (RESTful API)

-Experience with GitHub, Jira, Confluence

-Experience with Ansible and Terraform

-Experience with REACT and Python

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and object-oriented software design, REST, SOAP Web Services, and SOA architecture, JavaScript, React, RDBMS (Oracle, SQL, postgres), and an OOP language such as Java or Ruby

Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance Additional Desired Qualifications:

Experience leading and mentoring junior developers

Experience with any of the following:

containerized applications and management systems such as Docker, Kubernetes and OpenShift

experience with BPM tools such as Camunda

experience with CI/CD process tools like Jenkins

experience with any AWS technologies

Experience working with ruby on rails as well as libraries like Rspec

Ability to write clean ruby code

Proficiency with code versioning tools including Git, Github, SVN, and Mercurial

Experience with React and Redux

Experience with frontend testing frameworks, i.e., Jest

Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, RESTful, and ORM

Good understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3
