Summary of Job Responsibilities;
Supports on-going manufacturing processes under general supervision in order to attain smooth operating and manufacturing assembly capabilities.
Defines and solves all major manufacturing and assembly problems and takes corrective actions as necessary. Identifies imperfections in manufacturing processes, including design and process engineering, material, machinery and equipment, and personnel. Communicates with broad range of departments to incorporate corrective action. Establishes new procedures and techniques as appropriate.
Maintains on-going accuracy of manufacturing process documentation with regard to product engineering specifications and manufacturing capabilities.
Estimates cost of new process techniques and designs in support of cost reduction programs. Coordinates implementation of these plans with all departments.
Prepares, implements and supervises layout, tooling, product flow and related engineering functions necessary to bring new product line from blueprint stage to production.
Responsible for development of capital equipment justifications. Assist supervisor with compilation of status reports on each model within appropriate technical area.
Insure capability of process design improvements generated by Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Design Engineering with on-going assembly procedures. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or Equivalent Job Experience.
Experience and Specialized Knowledge Required:
Proven experience in a manufacturing or production engineering role.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
Proficient with CAD software and other engineering tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and organizational abilities
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations
Experience with process automation and robotics is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
