We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at our Poughkeepsie location. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting healthcare professionals in providing patient care, performing administrative duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of the medical office. Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
Take and record vital signs
Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and organization
Administer medications as directed by healthcare provider
Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
Handle patient inquiries and provide information about procedures and medications
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling billing and insurance claims
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a Medical Assistant program
Certification as a Medical Assistant
Prior experience working in a medical office setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
