ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking experienced professionals to support the development and deployment of a responsive, Azure-based serverless web application for a multi-location retail pilot rollout. This intelligent, real-time platform will feature a personalized recommendation system that leverages multi-modal inputs-such as text, images, and visual data-to enhance user experience. In addition, the application will support patient management workflows, including pre-appointment intake and post-appointment results delivery, providing a seamless and efficient end-to-end experience for both users and providers.

Key Skills & Capabilities

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

Expert with ARM templates and/or Terraform to provision and manage Azure resources (App Service, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, API Management, Key Vault, AD B2C).

Automate environment provisioning for Dev, QA, and Pilot, including network (VNet/subnets/NSGs) and RBAC configurations. CI/CD Pipeline Design

Build robust pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions: branch-based deployments (develop Dev, release QA, pilot Pilot).

Integrate build, test (unit, integration, security), and deploy stages for front-end (Angular) and back-end (.NET Core) artifacts, plus model deployments to Azure ML managed endpoints.

Implement approval gates, rollback strategies, and blue/green or slot-swap deployments. Monitoring, Logging & Alerting

Configure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics to collect telemetry (request rates, response times, exception counts).

Design dashboards and set alert rules (e.g., CPU > 70 %, error rate > 5 %, RU/s throttling) to detect anomalies in real time.

Automate incident notifications via email or collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Slack). Scalability & Performance

Define auto-scale rules for App Service and Cosmos DB throughput to handle burst loads (100-300 TPS) and sustained traffic from 5,000+ concurrent users.

Optimize resource sizing to balance performance with cost-efficiency across environments. Security & Compliance

Implement secure secret management (Key Vault), network isolation (Private Link, service endpoints), and SSL/TLS enforcement.

Integrate security scanning (SAST/DAST) into pipelines and ensure compliance with HIPAA, PII and PHI data. Disaster Recovery & High Availability

Design DR strategies: geo-replication for SQL and Cosmos, failover procedures, and regular DR drills.

Maintain runbooks for environment restoration, scaling incidents, and security incident response. Collaboration & Agile Practices

Work closely with developers, DBAs, security engineers, and QA to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure changes.

Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Provide on-call support during pilot UAT and store-level testing; troubleshoot deployment and environment issues.

• Hands-on with ARM templates and/or Terraform for infrastructure as code.

• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Experience configuring Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and custom alerts.

• Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.

• Familiarity with network security in Azure (VNets, NSGs, Private Link).

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

• Background in healthcare or other regulated industries (HIPAA, GDPR).

• Experience with Azure ML managed endpoints and integrating ML deployments into pipelines.
