Cloud Engineer

Blu Omega is seeking a Cloud Engineer to help design and deliver secure, scalable cloud solutions that support critical federal missions.

Blu Omega is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support modernization initiatives within the national security sector. In this role, you'll design and implement cloud-based architectures that enable our customers to operate with greater agility, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities:

Help transition complex legacy systems into efficient, cloud-native environments.

Work hands-on with AWS technologies, applying best practices in infrastructure automation, security, and DevOps to deliver reliable, mission-critical solutions.

Collaborate with both technical teams and stakeholders to align implementation with strategic goals, ensuring that cloud migrations and deployments meet performance and compliance standards. Qualifications:

8+ years of experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS

4+ years of experience with infrastructure as code tools, including AWS CLI and SDK, Jenkins, Terraform, or CloudFormation

2+ years of experience with scripting, including Python, Bash, GoLang, or Java

Experience with AWS cloud services, including EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, ALB, RDS, and VPC

Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering Nice to Haves:

Experience supporting the migration, implementation, deployment, and operation of systems and applications in AWS

Experience with monitoring, maintenance, and security of critical infrastructure components

Experience with triaging and resolving issues for both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments

Experience with implementing high-availability, incident response, and disaster-recovery in secure cloud platforms

Knowledge of networking, security groups, and policy management for Cloud resources across multiple operating systems, including Linux or Windows

Associate or Professional AWS Solution Architect Certification Salary Range: $165K - $176K

Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
