Meta - W2 Contract Hardware (Sensor Test) Engineer - Sunnyvale Ca Job Description: Meta is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join the team onsite in Sunnyvale, Ca.

This individual will work within the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality.

This individual will be responsible for smart glass sensor bring-up/ characterization/ validation.

This engineer will develop test systems to enable rapid evaluation and testing of sensor sub-systems.

ResponsibilitiesCharacterize and Validate Sensor PerformanceConduct comprehensive testing and analysis of touch sensors, proximity sensors, ambient light sensors, and inertial measurement units (IMUs) to ensure optimal functionality in smart wearable devices.Optimize Sensor Integration and PerformanceAnalyze validation data to fine-tune sensor configurations, improve accuracy, and enhance responsiveness across various use cases and environmental conditions.Document and Communicate Test FindingsPrepare detailed test reports, performance summaries, and data visualizations.

Present findings and recommendations to engineering and product development teams to support design decisions.Collaborate with Cross-Functional TeamsWork closely with hardware, firmware, software, and product teams to define test strategies, ensure test coverage, and maintain alignment with product requirements and timelines.

QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical EngineeringExperience with CapTouch Sensor designExperience with multiple sensors (ambient light sensor, optical sensor, motion sensor or touch sensor)Programming skills to develop software/firmware/scripts for validation, characterization, and prototyping (e.g.

Python)Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g.
