start time Reports To: Senior Producer / Executive Producer On Cue Hire is seeking an early AM Producer for a growing national news network with offices in midtown Manhattan.
This is a full-time, onsite M-F position with shift starting at 3:30am.

We’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Producer to support our client’s high-energy morning news programming.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the editorial and production process, helping shape content that engages and informs viewers.

Key Responsibilities:Content & Research: Monitor overnight developments and breaking news headlines.
Research and pitch timely, relevant story ideas that align with the show’s editorial direction.Script Writing & Editing: Assist senior producers with crafting clear, concise scripts for anchors and reporters, ensuring factual accuracy and editorial consistency.Guest Coordination: Help identify knowledgeable and compelling guests with expertise in policy, politics, culture, and current events.
Assist with scheduling, prep, and logistical coordination.Production Support: Collaborate with the control room and graphics/video teams to prepare media elements and ensure they’re show-ready by air time.Live Show Execution: Support the live broadcast by tracking rundowns, updating scripts, and assisting with cues and changes in real time.Team Communication: Maintain strong communication with producers, directors, and technical teams to ensure seamless show flow and editorial clarity.Administrative Tasks: Maintain detailed production notes, organize scripts, update contact databases, and support scheduling as needed.
Qualifications:2+ years of experience in a live broadcast news environmentStrong editorial judgment and understanding of current events and media trendsComfortable working in a conservative political news environmentProficient with newsroom software like ENPS, rundowns, editing platforms, and Microsoft OfficeExcellent writing, fact-checking, and research skills with a sharp eye for detailAble to work under pressure and pivot quickly in a live production environmentPositive, proactive attitude with a collaborative mindsetMust be available for an early morning start to support live morning broadcasts Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related fieldFamiliarity with national news coverage and live production workflows Note: This is a full-time, onsite position based in New York, NY.
Remote or hybrid work is not available due to the live nature of the program.
