Position: Test Technician Location: Wallingford, CT Type: Contract-to-Hire 3 months temp to perm.

Pay: $22–$24/hr (based on experience)** Night shift pays $3hr.

shift differential Position Summary The Test Technician will perform production testing, troubleshoot issues, and maintain specialty equipment and tooling in the production area.

The role requires strong knowledge of electronics, test equipment, and manufacturing processes to ensure quality and efficiency.

Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and conduct tests on completed units and components under operational conditionsAnalyze test results and adjust equipment to meet design specificationsRecord test procedures, results, and numerical/graphical dataRecommend improvements to test methods and processesUse and maintain tools and equipment, including oscilloscopes, power meters, RF equipment, microscopes, and computerized testing systemsCollaborate with engineering teams to improve testing and production efficiencyEnsure compliance with customer specifications, safety, and environmental standards Skills & QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma (or equivalent) requiredExperience: Entry-level to 3 years of electronics or PCB testing experienceAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishFamiliarity with oscilloscopes, optical switches, power meters, RF equipment, and diagnostic toolsAbility to diagnose and troubleshoot issues at the component levelSkilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and production documentationKnowledge of Tx/Rx channels, connector orientation, and inspection practicesProficiency with English and metric measurements (inches/mm) and conversionsUnderstanding of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles About Top Prospect Group Founded in 2010, Top Prospect Group is a trusted technical staffing partner.
